New York Italian Restaurants
I went to a charming hole-in-the-wall New York Italian restaurant when I was visiting the Big Apple a few years back-the gnocchi dripping with caramelized garlic and garnished with broccoli rabé quite literally melted in my mouth. Now I swear by neighborhood New York Italian restaurants. Not only was the food succulent, but the waiters and cooks were delightfully and authentically dramatic to the point of bawdy. What fun! Of course for a date, a quieter candle-lit venue would be more appropriate (like the New York Italian restaurants in Peekskill), but for a fun, entertaining and delicious evening, the first sort of New York Italian restaurant was perfect.
